Songket Avarcas

As you all should already know our Avarcas are the real deal and are handmade by skilled artisans in Spain. Our Songket avarcas made their debut early 2016, it was the first of its kind and has since been a hot favourite amongst our Malay customers. Not only does it look good with casual wear, it is also very appropriate for Malay weddings and when paired with Malay traditional costumes. This year we will be bringing in new Songket colours and variations for Lebaran 2017. Do look out for it! Here are the pics of our current range of Songket Avarcas.

What is Songket?

Songket is a fabric that belongs to the brocade family of textiles of Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei. It is hand-woven in silk or cotton, and intricately patterned with gold or silver threads. The metallic threads stand out against the background cloth to create a shimmering effect.
